BUDDHIST SECTOR TOURS

Route : Delhi – Pathankot – Dharamsala – Delhi

Duration : 9 days 8 nights

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On arrival, our representative will receive you at the airport. From the airport, you will be taken to the hotel for an overnight stay. 

Day 2: Delhi – Pathankot
In the morning, you will leave for a half-day sightseeing tour of the capital city. The afternoon will be for relaxation. By late evening, you will leave for the railway station to catch an overnight train for Pathankot. 

Day 3: Pathankot – Dharamsala 
After reaching Pathankot, you will be driven to Dharamsala by car. Dharamsala is a beautiful hills station in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is also the place where the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of the Tibetans, has established government-in-exile. On arrival, you will check into the hotel and retire for the night. 

Day 4: Dharamsala Sightseeing
In the morning, you will leave for a sightseeing tour of the hill station. First, you will visit the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) and attend the various culture programs taking place there. Then, you will visit Norbu Lingka. The night stay will be at the hotel. 

Day 5: Dharamsala Sightseeing 
After having breakfast, you will again leave for a sightseeing tour of the city. You will visit Namgyal Monastery, the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives and Monastery of Nechung Oracle. The night stay will be at the hotel. 

Day 6: Dharamsala Sightseeing
In the morning, you will leave for a day’s excursion to Sherabling monastery, Bir via Palampur. By evening, you will return back to the Dharamsala hotel and retire for the night. 

Day 7: Dharamsala Sightseeing
You will leave for a sightseeing tour of McLeodganj, which is home to most of the Tibetan exiles. At McLeodganj, the Tibetans have established many monasteries, schools and temples. Mcleodganj is sometimes known as “Little Lhasa”, after the Tibetan capital city. By late evening, you will return back tothe Dharamsala hotel and rest for the night. 

Day 8: Dharamsala – Pathankot – Delhi 

The morning will be free for leisure. In the afternoon, you will leave for Pathankot, where you will catch an overnight train to Delhi. 

Day 9: Delhi Sightseeing
After arriving in Delhi, you will check into the hotel. After resting for a while, you will visit India Gate and Connaught Place. By late evening, you will leave for the international airport to catch a flight to your onward destination.
