Discover the Smallest Active Volcano

Duration : 8 – 10 hours

Meal : Lunch & Dinner

Highlights: Taal Lake boat ride, Taal Volcano trek

Pick up from hotel. Located 65 kilometers south of Manila, it takes around 2 hours to reach Tagaytay. Tagaytay sits on a ridge 685 meters above Taal Lake and its active island-volcano. From a vantage point along the ridge, one can get a good look of the seemingly placid but volatile Taal Volcano surrounded by the gleaming waters of the lake. The cool, breezy, and at times foggy weather makes it an ideal summer getaway next to Baguio City. The extensive fruit and flower gardens lining the main road are attributed to its rich, fertile soil. Taal Volcano is the world’s smallest active volcano. We stop at the jump off point to ride a boat going to Taal Volcano (30-minute boat ride). Once we reach the island, we register then we ride a horse which will take us to the peak. Distance to the peak is 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) and the hike usually lasts 55 minutes. Upon reaching the peak we enjoy the magnificent view of the crater. Enjoy a round of fresh coconut juice. Optional tee shot of golf at the view deck then prepare to return to starting point (45 minutes journey to go back). For lunch guests will be served a local delicacy bulalo (beef bone marrow soup), the perfect treat for Tagaytay’s cool weather. Pass by local market for a chance to buy fresh fruits, fresh flowers and local handicrafts. Taal Lake is also home to Tawilis, the only freshwater sardines in the world. Optional snack: Coffee Alamid – one of the world’s most exclusive & expensive coffee brands whose beans are fermented inside the stomach of the Palm Civet cat and buko pie (coconut pie). Afternoon back to Manila. Dinner then transfer back to hotel.
